Lefortune Announces the Release of Terror in Cabo Rojo by Blake Drake

Lefortune is pleased to announce the release of Terror in Cabo Rojo, a new supernatural horror novel by Blake Drake.
Set on Puerto Rico’s southwestern coast, the novel begins with a disturbing pattern: every thirty years, Cabo Rojo changes. In January 2017, a journalist disappears while investigating a sequence of deaths and anomalous storms separated by exact three-decade intervals. The only evidence he leaves behind is a camera hidden in the woods.
At the centre of the novel is Alex Shed, who returns to Cabo Rojo with four people from his past to inspect a family house that has remained closed for ten years. What begins as a brief return to the coast becomes an increasingly isolated confrontation with a history no one has fully explained. Roads vanish beneath the storm. Something moves among the dunes. Old notebooks, a murder committed in 1927, and a red light that casts no shadows begin to form parts of the same inheritance.
A Caribbean landscape shaped by memory and dread
Terror in Cabo Rojo approaches horror through place, recurrence, and family memory. Its setting is not treated as background decoration but as an active force in the novel: sea, salt, heat, mangrove, storm, distance, and darkness all contribute to the pressure under which the story unfolds.
The book combines supernatural horror with mystery and psychological tension, building its unease gradually through evidence, atmosphere, and the suspicion that the past has not remained where it belongs. Rather than depending on spectacle alone, the novel asks what happens when a family inherits not property, but an unfinished explanation.
The new novel from Blake Drake
With Terror in Cabo Rojo, Blake Drake develops a distinctly Caribbean form of supernatural horror: intimate in scale, grounded in a specific geography, and structured around the collision between private history and recurring catastrophe.
The release is now available through its official site, where readers can find information about the novel, editions, and direct access to the book.
